Hello my loves! I can’t believe January is already over but i’m so excited to share all the products I have been loving this month
Hourglass no.28 Primer Serum
If you guys have been following Tamanna Roashan (Dress Your Face), you’ll know she absolutely loves this primer for her clients with dry skin and is a staple in her kit. So of course, I had to try it out. When i first tested it in store I wasn’t sold on it and thought it would just make my makeup look oily. You know what they say, don’t judge a book by its cover – guilty! So I finally gave it a go and oh my gosh, I am obsessed with the way this makes my makeup look and sit on my skin!
It is most suited for Normal to Dry skin types and is a blend of 28 different ingredients – as the name suggests, including 14 essential oils, 10 lipid-rich plant oils, and 4 vitamins,so it leaves your skin feeling very nourished and soft even after you remove all your makeup. It is quite pricey, but it definitely worth the splurge if your skin drinks up most primers. It also leaves your makeup with a beautiful dewy finish…and you know me, i’m all about that glow!
So far I have been loving wearing it with my Nars Tinted Moisturiser. I haven’t yet tried it with my other foundations, but I will definitely give it a go and keep you guys in the loop.
By Terry Baume de Rose
I’ve done my days of Lucas Paw Paw, Blistex and EOS. After hearing so much about this lip balm, I finally decided to give it a go!
In the beginning, I noticed it was amazing at actually hydrating my lips, without just making them greasy like the notorious lip balms I used to use. I found myself having to use it only twice a day, once after my morning cleanse and once after my night time cleanse.
Although I thought it did a good job at keeping my lips hydrated, I wasn’t convinced it was worth the price.
BUT after using it consistently, I’ve noticed that my matte lipsticks and liquid lipsticks sit much better and last much longer since using this. It has completely re-texturized my lips. I don’t know what it is about this product, but I feel like its helped with some of the lines I used to have on my lips, and the lipsticks don’t actually sink into the lines and enhance them like they used to.
The only downside is having to dip my fingers in to apply it, but once you play with the consistency, you’ll understand why. On the plus side, it will last you a VERY long time.
So this one’s definitely a keeper, worth the price now? I think so!
Bobbi Brown Art stick in ‘Rose Brown’
This is just such a gorgeous colour that works across all skin types. I have yet to come across someone who doesn’t look good wearing it.
The formula is surprisingly very long wearing and comfortable to wear on the lips. I do find after about 6-8 hours, you may need to dab a bit of lip balm on the center of your lips just to refresh the finish and prevent it from looking very dry (if you suffer from extremely dry lips like moi), but other than that its perfect and is definitely one to add to your collection!
Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel Pads (Extra strength)
So I recently tried out the trial 5 day pack of the these peels pads, and to my suprise, it is definitely worth all the hype!
It’s a two step process that chemically exfoliates the skin. This is probably the only product I have ever come across that literally makes your skin feel like it’s new! Words don’t do justice, you will just have to go try it and see what I mean!
It has tightened my pores (and not just for a day like other products!). It has helped with hormonal breakouts and leaves my skin feeling so soft and completely re-texturized my skin, leaving my makeup application so smooth and flawless!
It is a daily peel, but I do know of some people who use it a few times a week as a treatment. I prefer to use mine at night so I can wake up to fresh, beautiful skin.
I will definitely be going back to purchase the full size!
So that’s it for my favourites for this month! Have you used any of these products? What did you think?
