Hello my loves!

With the recent craze over the new Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint, i thought i would share with you guys the difference between this and their original Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser, to help you guys decide the best one for your skin.

Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint
So the new Nars Velvet Matte Skint Tint is fine to use across all skin types, but i would recommend it more for combination to oily skin It has a beautiful soft matte finish, and actually has amazing coverage. It works just like a tinted moisturiser, in that its lightweight, oil free, has a sheer buildable natural skin finish with added skincare benefits (antioxidants, vitamin c etc.), but should not be used in place of a moisturiser as it is not hydrating enough on its own. Although it’s a soft matte finish, it’s definitely still radiant and luminous. Think of it as the matte version of their original Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser. Nars released this product as as an option for those that are more combination to oilier skin, as the original Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser often left those skin types looking like an oil slick by the end of the day. For this reason, i wouldn’t recommend this for those with dry skin as it has a matte finish, it can often cling to dry patches and accentuate them.

Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser
The original Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser works just like the Velvet Matte Skin Tint, however it’s a lot more radiant and dewy, perfect for those with more normal to dry skin types. Just like the Velvet Matte Skin Tint, it soft focuses the skin, has a sheer buildable natural skin finish with added skincare benefits. I wouldn’t recommend this one for the combo to oilier skin types as it can leave you looking like an oil slick by the end of the day, which makes it perfect for those with dry skin as it doesn’t cling to any dry patches.

So which one to go for?
These are not foundations, keep them in your tinted moisturiser category without substituting them for your daily moisturiser. Both are oil free, fragrance free and non-comedogenic.
For Combination to Oily skin types opt for the new Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint
For Normal to Dry skin types opt for the original Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser

Both have a lot of mixed reviews but the Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser is my holy grail, i haven’t been able to wear a foundation since! It literally makes it look like your skin but better and perfect for those who hate the feeling and look of a foundation on your face.

Have you guys tried this? What did you think?
