Wait..it’s 2017 next week?

Today i’m bringing to you all my staple products of 2016..let’s get straight into it!

Makeup
Urban Decay Heavy Metals Glitter Liner
2016 has definitely been the year of glitter for me since I have been dousing myself in all things glitter on the daily. I love that you can wear these as a liner or as an eyeshadow. Urban Decay did really well with this one, so versatile and such a fuss free way of easily applying glitter, no glitter glue needed!

By Terry Ombre Blackstar
If i had to live with one eyeshadow for the rest of my life it would be one of these. The colour payoff, blendability and colour range is phenomenal. My two favourites are ‘Bronze Moon and ‘Misty Rock’. This is so beautiful on it’s own or as a base for other eyeshadows. I’ve found myself reaching for these especially when i’m on the go because they make for such a quick and easy application – no brushes needed! Did I mention they last on your eyelids until the end of time?

Hourglass Ambient Powder in Dim Light
If you guys don’t know about these powders, you’ve been missing out big time! The Hourglass ambient powders are designed to mimic different types of lighting and filter your complexion. ‘Dim Light’ in particular is designed to diffuse the appearance of any pores and lines and create a soft focus effect to your complexion. Having dry skin, I hate powders! But after using this, I cannot complete my makeup without it!  This one has no light reflecting pigments, it just diffuses your skin and gives the most beautiful glow – im obsessed!

Josie Maran Argan Illuminiser
Liquid Gold. I can safely say, this is the most beautiful liquid highlighter I have ever slayed my face with. It’s so beautiful on its own and mixed with your foundation and it compliments all complexions!  She also released a wand version, which is for all you beauties who struggle blending the liquid on top of your foundation. Just swatch this..you’ll know what i mean..

Urban Decay ‘Chill’ Setting Spray
My winter savior! I talked about this in a previous post and yes..I am still staying true to this bad boy! It is everything when my skin is feeling dehydrated. All i’m going to say is..if you have dry or dehydrated skin, douse yourself in this and you can thank me later. Skincare
Sunday Riley Juno Facial Oil
We’ve all seen these oils plastered around social media. I finally bought into the hype and introduced my skin to Juno..can I just say..where have you been all my life? I use this as the last step in my skincare and it leaves my skin feeling so velvety and leaves a beautiful dewy finish to my makeup.

Dr Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Eye Serum
One of my most praised eye serums, this targets absolutely every skin concern around the eye area! The best eye serum i’ve come across in 2016 and YES, it actually helps to reduce the appearance of dark circles (thanks to the licorice root extract). The best part about it? it’s a whole lid serum! So unlike eye creams that you can only use under the eye, this one targets any discoloration, drooping or puffiness on the eye lid as well. For surface moisture, I like to lock this serum in with an eye cream, the two work together like a dream.

The Body Shop Chinese Ginseng and Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask
I mentioned in a previous post just how much I fell in love with this mask!  Use after use it leaves my skin looking so glowy and so bright, I didn’t think I would reach for it as much as I do when I first picked it up. Haircare
I’ve been trying out a lot of hair masks this year and one that has made a world of a difference is the Ouai Hair Treatment Mask. Jen Atkins is a hair queen, knowing this is her brand I had to go out and try it and I can confidently say i’m obsessed! My hair is really thick and big, so to get me hooked onto a hair product takes a lot because nothing out on the market seems to tickle my fancy. Since using this, my hair has so much more shine and feels healthier – which is everything I need since I style it using heat tools everyday. I’m still on the hunt for an amazing conditioner..if you have any suggestions leave me a comment below!

Fragrance
My fragrance of the year and current signature scent is Byredo’s ‘Mojave Ghost’. It is hands-down one of the most amazing scents i’ve ever come across. It lingers all day and i’ve never had anything like it! Notes include ambrette, Jamaican nesberry, violet, sandalwood, magnolia base, chantilly musk, crisp amber and cedarwood. If you haven’t heard of the brand before, pop in store and have a smell, Byredo does some of the most amazing fragrances in the world.

and that’s a wrap for 2016. I hope you guys have an amazing end to the year..I have so many exciting things in store.. bring on 2017!
